Dorothy is now SPAYED, just had a full dental cleaning, and full annual (vaccines, blood work, Heartworm Negative, Fecal negative). She is up to date on EVERYTHING with full Vet Records for her new owner.

She is now retired and looking for someone who will share their life with her. (Although she is welcome to stay here and we love her more than words could express; we feel that she would be happiest if she could find a special human where she could be their constant companion.)

Dorothy has a therapy dog personality and a heart of gold. She loves to go everywhere (loves car rides), loves everyone and every creature that she meets. She is very social and loves affection (and to be doted on). Knows basic obedience, walks well on a leash, raised in our home, and she's super gentle.

​

We are looking for the perfect home/match for Dorothy. She will not be happy left home alone (and she prefers human companionship over canine companionship, so even with another dog she would not be happy if she was home alone). We are looking for someone who can either be home with her everyday OR take her with them everyday AND has a fenced yard. She wants to be your loyal companion for the rest of her life and she deserves someone who can give her all of their time.

Dorothy is SPAYED, had a full dental cleaning, is up to date on Annual Veterinary Exam, Vaccines, Parasite Prevention, Heartworm Negative, Microchipped, and AKC registered. All records and paperwork will be provided at pickup.

$600 Adoption Fee (Cash at time of pickup)

Where Are Our Beagle Puppies Sourced? Our Home!
When you purchase a Short Acres Beagle Puppy, you are receiving a puppy that our family raised in our home. We do not sell beagle puppies that are bred by other breeders or guardian homes. All of our Beagle Puppies are bred by us, born in our home (not in a kennel, shed, or building), and handled from birth. The  Female Beagles in our program have been born and raised in our home for multiple generations, as all of our girls are born and raised from our own litters so that we know their temperament and health traits from birth. 
 
Waiting Lists & Reservations:
If you are interested in our Beagle Puppies, send us a "Purchase Application" and stay in touch by email. We only accept a reservation on a puppy that is currently available and the reservation is for that specific puppy that you are reserving. Reservation fees are accepted by PayPal invoice, they are typically about a third of the purchase price and are applied to the purchase price. 

Visits:
We ONLY allow visits if you are picking up your Beagle Puppy, this is for biosecurity and the safety of our family (human & canine). We are not a pet store nor a kennel facility, we are a family in a home with our Beagles; we do not offer tours.

Size & Color:
Our Beagles typically vary in height from around 13 to 15 inches tall at adulthood, we can only offer an educated estimate on adult height based on growth charts from our previous litters. 

While most of our Beagles are Tricolor; occasionally we may have other colors born in our litters.

Due to the wonder of mother nature and genetics, we cannot guarantee adult size or color. 
Note: Early spay/neuter (before 12 months of age) has been attributed with taller adult height.

Shipping:
We do not ship our Beagle Puppies and we do not sell sight unseen.

Third Party Transfers:
We do not participate in any third party transfers. 
Our Beagle Puppies must be picked up in person by their new owner(s). No brokers, representatives, etc. 

Breeding Rights:
We do not offer Breeding Rights (full registration). 
Our Beagle Puppies are sold as companion pets with limited (non-breeding) registration papers and a spay/neuter contract.
